The short version: what you type stays in your browser.

## What you type

Every calculator works in your browser. Doses, ratios, the drinks you add to the caffeine calculator and everything else you enter are never sent to a server, and nothing is uploaded. The caffeine list exists only while the page is open; reload and it is gone.

## What is stored on your device

If you choose light or dark with the theme button, that choice is saved in your browser’s local storage under the name `brewlyric-theme`, so the next page opens in the same theme. Nothing else is stored, and the site does not use cookies. Choosing “Auto” removes the saved choice.

## Analytics

The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies or track you across sites, and it never receives what you type into the tools. There are no ads and no other trackers.

## Screen, sound and links

The pour-over and tea timers ask your browser to keep the screen awake while they run, and the chimes are made in the browser with no sound files. Links to other sites, such as the sources and the two recommended services, take you to sites with their own privacy policies.

## Hosting

The pages are served by Cloudflare, which, like any web host, handles the network requests your browser makes to load them. The fonts and scripts come from this site, not from third parties.
